Do you know who Jenny Tiramani is?? You know, the famous costume designer who worked at the Globe in London for several years? Who designed Elizabethan clothes for the stage as accurately as possible? Also conducted extensive research on the subject? Who is brilliant? (I may or may not have teared up from the shock of meeting her, let's just put it that way.)
She's coming out with a book of women's dress patterns.

It's being released in April & I got to flip through it at the symposium.

The book is stuffed to the brims with images and detailed information on women's dress of the 17th century, and as you can see, it says 'Book One'. So, yes, that means there will be more books of patterns from the V&A being released over the next several years. We'll have to be patient, but they will be here! I am so excited!!
