From your responses I will be able to not only get together a solid presentation, that will hopefully be inspiring as well as informative for the conference goers, but I will also be able to share your opinions in general on what makes for a good costume history blog, and what doesn't. What, we, as bloggers need to do to help readers, lurkers, and other bloggers in order to progress costume history research and construction.
Off topic, get this, Jane Malcolm-Davies of The Tudor Tailor is presenting at the same conference as I am. I die. I die and have gone to costume historian heaven. Hopefully, I'll be a good little historian and get my camera skills flexing.
Anyways, with the survey results, I will be working on the blog posts for my results sometime in late March or April (probably April). My presentation is on the 18th of March, so I wont be releasing any information until after that point.

In other news, I know this is kind of an awkward way to "announce" this, but there are going to be some major changes going on here and for me personally. Some of you already know this, and some of you don't, but I have decided to move back to the US in March. This is largely due to the insanity and lethargy that has taken over me due to unemployment and slight isolation living in a small city in Sweden. F & I are still together, and we are going to try to figure out what to do to make it work, though we'll have to battle the beast known as US immigration.
The only bad thing about this move is leaving F again, for an unknown amount of time. (Let's not discuss it, I'm going to cry. But he is visiting in the summer for about a month, focus on the positive...). However, from a career, academic, and sewing point of view, this is really good for me. I don't know if you've noticed, but I haven't been updating much here. This is because, other than the project's I'm working on for Sapphire, I have nothing here in regards to costume history. I have a couple books and a lot of fabric. That's it. I have no mannequins, no dissertation information and resources, patterns, etc. It's been really hard to try and write about something where I have no way to verify my information (and according to survey results, many of you really want your citations (amen). So, obviously, I'm not comfortable writing things about historical accuracy, with anything, when I have no way to confirm what I know (or think I know). Thus, I don't really write much.
I am planning on revamping this blog, I have acquired some awesome pieces from my family as well as personal collecting of garments and fashion plates, and I want to share them with you and write about what I know. I have costumes to start working on, and will be able to blog about, etc. So, hopefully, with my return to the US, I will get myself in gear and be able to be a better blogistorian (Har har I just made up a new word!).
So, that's it for now, I'll post more later. Right now, I've finally bothered to start putting in the lining to Sapphire's stays, and I am also, hopefully, going to get some pictures, etc, of fitting her Robe a la Polonaise to her. I have the mockup done, but it's not fitted.
